Writing Outdoors – What Sunglasses to wear

When you are a writer it can be a great experience to get outside once in a while and do some writing outdoors. With so much of our lives taking place these days in digital environments, there is something extremely satisfying about just grabbing a pencil and an eraser and stepping outside to work for a few hours. If you are planning on writing your stories outdoors however, there are a few things to remember that can make your experience even better.

While writing on a pencil and paper under a tree or sitting at the beach may lack some of the practicalities of sitting at a computer with a dedicated spell checker; there are many more intangible aspects that will more than make up for these few missing features. For a writer there is nothing more important than inspiration, and nothing inspires people more than the beauty and majesty of the outdoors. If you are planning on writing outdoors, there is a simple checklist that will make your life more comfortable if followed.

You must remember to dress appropriately for the environment, to cover yourself from the sun with long light clothes if you are in a hot location or to keep yourself warm if you find yourself in a cold environment. Writing can take a long time to do and you have to be ready and comfortable for the long haul. Sunscreen might be necessary depending on where you are. You also must have the right amount of water with you while you work. It can be easy to get caught up in your work and forget to drink enough water – a big mistake.

My big tip for writing outdoors is to wear some good quality designer sunglasses. There are a number of different designer shades on the marketplace that can be the perfect accompaniment for a stint of outdoor writing. Wearing sunglasses will stop your eyes from getting tired and stop you from squinting at your new fresh white page. Ray-Ban sunglasses (http://www.edel-optics.de) have a number of fantastic models as do a few other well known brands.
