There are many aspects of both London and Munich which can be considered good for a photographer. They are both cities with plenty to see and do. Munich as many famous landmarks which would be considered good for a photographer.

Konigsplatz is one of the many squares which can be found scattered around Munich, it is a traditional square which was commissioned by Ludwig I, the square has a gateway and Roman and Greek sculptures can be found dotted around it. It also plays host of a yearly outdoor concert.
Church of St Peter or Peterskirche as is it is known in Germany if the oldest church in Munich. Although the exterior is really not much the look at the interior of the church is well worth a visit, it is decorated with old masters which dates back six centuries. If you are visiting on a quiet day it is well worth a walk to the top of the church as the view over the city from the top is amazing.

The old town hall – Altes Ratheus is situated in Marienplatz square and stands to the east side of the square. It plays host to a superb ball room and has a Gothic council hall. From a photographers point of view the building is astonishing.

Culturally Munich is a main focal point in Europe and all the big bands and famous artists when on tour perform in Munich. It has a great understanding of the music and arts and offers an array of venues, such as Munich Opera House and River Isar.

As well as being the capitol of England, London is visited by tourists from all over the world every year wanting to catch a glimpse of the sights which have made London popular with people of all ages.

There are many famous landmarks dotted throughout London which make good photo’s. The London Eye – which was originally built to mark the turn of the century is visited by tourists wanting to get a birds eye view of the city.

The Houses of Parliament and Big Ben (the clock), is probably the most talked about landmark in the city, the house of lords can be found within this building, as can the Prime Minister and the opposition parties.

Buckingham Palace – the home of the Queen is a fantastic building to photograph, the building is open to the public on certain weeks of the year, and behind the palace there is a vast garden which is protected by high railings all the way round.

Tower Bridge is a fantastic place to visit both day and night, it can be seen from the London Eye and you can walk along the River Thames embankment to catch a better view of this magnificent structure. The middle of the bridge opens at certain times of the week to allow big shipping vessels through.

Canary Wharf is also worth a visit, as is the millennium dome and if you have time on your hands a good place to get photo’s is Madam Tussaud’s, you can get a photo of whatever star you want there without having to battle with the fans and press.

Whichever of the two above destinations you visit always check out the hotels which are near to the attractions.
